Director, Digital Audience Development
The Anchorage Daily News is looking for the next leader to tackle our aggressive digital subscription goals. We have a robust 16k+ digital subscriber base and are looking to rapidly grow with some new leadership. The ideal candidate must be willing and motivated to manage and develop our paywall and be familiar and comfortable working with software and data. You must be familiar with CDPs and be familiar with light web development, plugins and be ready to self educate and learn as we continue to grow.
Main Priorities

Build, maintain, and improve the overall technical capabilities of the ADN in digital subscription growth and retention using data, marketing, and analytics

Master our tools and technology to build and maintain our portfolio of customers and build out a subscription funnel.

Be able to understand and be able to analyze data and create reports
-
Bring ideas for subscription marketing and rates structures.
Key Responsibilities
-
Work across all companies, create and manage customer journeys for current and potential subscribers at all levels of the funnel.

Understand, maintain, and manage the paywall software administration to maximize subscribers and be able to test and deploy multiple user paths and messages.

Develop Google Analytics and Data Studio reporting for site users.

Work with cross-departmental teams to execute the strategies and tactics for our audience and subscriber growth.

Work closely with the Director of Audience and all levels of management for the ADN.

Closely measure and regularly report the effectiveness of all digital acquisition and retention and initiatives to the ADN and all the employees.

Work with the Audience Director and systems manager and vetting and secure all technology contracts as it relates to digital subscriptions.

Consistently learns from and hone team member skills in acquisition and retention.

Build reports based on the best available data so all cross-functional teams are informed on the best practices and deliver innovative solutions.
