Marketing Manager

Overview:
The marketing manager will be responsible for implementing and coordinating all marketing efforts and promotions for the Anchorage Daily News and all of its brands and products. This position will work closely with our audience development team, events team, and advertising departments to effectively reach our marketing goals and objectives through media placements, email marketing, external communications and events. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and will help identify, develop and manage community partnerships to strengthen brand management within the community. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The marketing manager will plan and execute creative marketing strategies and campaigns to effectively reach the target audience and campaign marketing goals, and will be responsible for tracking and analyzing results, and creating reports to share across the organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to grow revenue through increased digital subscriptions and event attendance. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage/oversee creative design, campaign production and implementation of all marketing tactics

  • Research new marketing channels, products and stay up to date with new  marketing trends and tactics

  • Manage company memberships, trades and donations 

  • Effective communication throughout the company

  • Misc. event coordination and tasks

  • Other tasks as assigned 

Key skills:

  • Creativity and teamwork

  • Experience with design programs

  • Experience designing digital creatives and video assets a plus

  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing and google adwords.
