Alyeska Pipeline Service Company is recruiting for an Executive level corporate position supporting the overall reliable, safe, and efficient operation and maintenance of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).

Work Location: Anchorage, Alaska – Position Closes September 19, 2021

Education & Years of Experience

Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible management experience with a proven record of accomplishment.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Accountabilities & Specific Requirements:

System (TAPS). Responsibilities include oversight and direction of the Engineering & Risk Division as the company’s Chief Engineer. Incumbent manages more than 100 employees with accountability for managing company and contractor spend in excess of $100 million. Beyond division leadership responsibilities, the executive is expected to play a significant company-level executive leadership role relative to developing and executing Alyeska Pipeline’s fundamental business strategy and optimization efforts in a dynamic and competitive industry. Directly reports to the company President.

Accountabilities include:

Accomplishment of company performance goals in line with company vision and mission
Direction and oversight of division planning and work execution
Identifying and executing engineering and business innovation associated with continuous improvement and operational excellence
Effectively and expertly reinforcing safe and effective oversight across diverse regulatory programs
Maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels including APSC’s executive team, federal and state regulators, industry partners, owner representatives, and public officials
Demonstrating and enforcing the highest professional integrity, ethics, and safety discipline
Fostering a positive open work environment, efficient systems approach, and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks

The incumbent oversees:
Engineering

Oversees, Modification Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Operations Engineering, Site Engineering, Technical Studies, and Flow Assurance. Provides a broad range of engineering and associated technical support services for the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of TAPS. Provides strategic direction to meet technical and business challenges. leverages technology to meet optimization and operational excellence goals.
 Integrity Management & Risk

Oversees mainline, fuel gas line, station, and terminal piping integrity. Prepares the Integrity Management Plan for High Consequence Areas (HCAs) and the Integrity Management Programs, including Gas Line, Pipeline & Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT) Facilities Corrosion Monitoring, Mainline Integrity monitoring, Valves, Rivers & Floodplains, Civil Right of Way (ROW) Monitoring, Aboveground Support system and bridges, and Aboveground Storage Tanks. Responsible for oversight of Integrity Management Risk Assessment for HCAs, Civil surveying, and the Engineering Data Management (EDM) system. Manages enterprise Risk, ensuring that management processes are rigorous, well designed and conducted in a fully risk informed, efficient and effective manner.  Provides strategic direction for risk assessment and risk management to enable strong safety, integrity, and environmental performance.
