Financial Examiner III
The Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, Division of Banking and Securities is recruiting for a Financial Examiner III in Anchorage.
The Division is seeking a highly motivated candidate who will conduct investigations of possible violations of laws under the division’s authority, including securities, banking, mortgage lending and money transmission; take enforcement action as directed; and conduct routine and for-cause examinations of investment advisers and broker-dealers independently and/or in cooperation with the appropriate federal or state agency or self-regulatory organization; determine whether the financial entity and its agents operate in accordance with state and federal laws, applicable fiduciary and financial standards, know-your-customer rules and standards and maintains appropriate and accurate books and records prescribed by statute, regulation and best industry practices. Preference may be given to candidates with a law degree.
