Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) is hiring for multiple Eligibility Technician I/II/III vacancies in our Employment and Training Services Department (ETSD). This position is flexibly staffed and starting level will be determined based on qualifications and experience upon hire.
Position Summary
Eligibility Technicians will serve on the Intake and Maintenance Team within the Employment and Training Services Department at CITC. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative duties; including data entry, referrals, filing, greeting the public, reviewing applications for completeness, photocopying, scanning, determining eligibility determinations, processing cash assistance authorizations, conducting in-depth interviews, gathering data, conducting investigations, and ensuring accurate data review and analysis. Eligibility Technicians classified as a second or third tier level must meet position requirements and will have additional responsibilities, to include proficiency in ETSD procedures and policies.
Position Requirements
Eligibility Technician, I
High-school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of administrative/clerical support experience or customer service experience.
Eligibility Technician, II
High school diploma or GED
Three (3) years’ experience in a position performing the following: explaining complex policies, procedures, services or program requirements to the public and participants; eliciting or exchanging information as related to requirements or procedures; providing formal or informal instruction and training; conducting interviews; and providing program-related advice to participants when appropriate; or Two (2) years’ experience applying statutes, regulations, program requirements, or similar criteria or guidelines to review individual cases.
Eligibility Technician, III
High school diploma or GED;
Four years of experience as an Eligibility Technician in programs such as Tribal TANF, General Assistance, Public Assistance Program, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year as an Eligibility Technician in a lead or supervisory role.
