POSITION SUMMARY
The Tribal Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting NVE Tribal Members with Scholarships, Burial Assistance, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) general assistance, job training, and assisting with other department applications and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Monitor budgets and scope of work to ensure program goals and objectives are met.

Prepare and submit program and budget modifications and reports to the 477 Director and funding agencies as required by grants and contracts.

Prepare and submit narrative reports on a quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or other funder-specified basis.

Create and maintain accurate case files and database for all clients and activities.

Assist eligible applicants with completing required paperwork and referrals to appropriate programs.

Educate eligible applicants regarding programs and services and provide case management.

Coordinates HUD mini-grants and all scholarship opportunities.

Program coordination of BIA general assistance and burial assistance.

Outreach to Tribal members.

Plan monthly events or activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

COMPUTER SKILLS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and Adobe Pro preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training in administrative functions is preferred.
- Office experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Native Village of Eyak and Native American Culture preferred.
- Current Alaska Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing and able to learn.

- Typically uses balance, eyesight, and fine motor skills to coordinate and complete work.

While performing the essential functions of this position, employees may be exposed to the following conditions:
- Work in outdoor weather conditions, which may include snow, rain, and sun.
- Work in a confined space (office).
- May require a considerable amount of physical activity while conducting fieldwork, including hiking and climbing over difficult terrain.
- Occasionally required to stay for extended periods of time in remote camps (up to 4 months).
- Hazards associated with power tools, hazards associated with traps to collect fish, and working in areas containing large predators (including, but not limited to, bears and wolves).
- Work will be conducted in remote settings, often on dangerous rivers, marine habitats, rainforests, snowpack, frozen rivers and lakes, wetlands, and in office settings.
