Ski Maintenance Technician
Description: Maintain and repair ski lifts controls, safety systems and other electrical equipment. (Daily pre-operation inspections of ski lifts electrical and mechanical components shall be performed after initial training) Performs diagnostic and repair procedures on electrical and charging systems, hydraulic drives, gear pumps and valve systems. Performs routine maintenance and repair on gas and diesel engines, including diesel fuel systems. Diagnoses problems, performs maintenance, and repairs to power train systems including automatic, power shift and manual transmissions, planetary gearsets, driveline components, U-joints and bearings, etc. Responsible for grooming ski slopes and features either during the day or evening. Supervises the monitoring of pump stations, valve stations and Flowtronixs during start-up, shutdown and operation of the snow making system. Assist Activities in setting-up and operating snowmaking equipment, hydrants and prepare fixed gears for making snow all over the mountain. Rearranging snowmaking lines and blowing equipment. Duties: Customer driven and positive attitude. Present a professional image at all times. High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance and operation. Excellent verbal communication skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with contractors, associates and guests. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work closely with the Activities Team. General knowledge of principles, practices, methods, materials and Mechanical maintenance. Qualifications: Must have the ability to speak English fluently. Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
