Requirements:
- Guides NMHS staff in proper requisition requests techniques and vendor relations
- Serves as point person for PeopleSoft implementation to new departments and at new sites/affiliates.
- Serves as a resource for peers
- Provides leadership to buyers
- Assess the needs of dept staff, employees, vendors, and visitors and handles each need appropriately and with courtesy
- Analyze purchases to determine cataloging opportunities or standardization
- Identify cataloged items that should be purchased from the Master file
- Analyze and implement changes to item categories to meet the financial reporting requirements of customers
- Coordinates Item Master file cleansing, maintenance, and pricing activities in Oracle PeopleSoft
- Implements and oversees the electronic data interchange (EDI) of Vendors
- Coordinates vendor file cleansing and maintenance to organization
- Coordinates vendor consolidation with NMHS Accounting dept.
- Ensures catalog and financial coding of supplies and service items are accurate in the Master Catalog
- Generates and distributes Oracle PeopleSoft Item Master reports as needed/requested
- Administers the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusion List to determine if a vendor is excluded from participating in all Federal health care programs
- Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers
- Responsible for assisting senior analyst in developing/editing training manuals for the Materials Management System
- Facilitates Material Management System training for end-users to all seven hospitals, 30+ clinics, and affiliates
- Prioritizes work/tasks to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
- Ensures issues/problems are resolved in an accurate and efficient manner
- Other duties needed or required to provide customer service to end users or departments
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Complies with appropriate Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guidelines
Requirements:
- High School Diploma; required. Associate's Degree in Business related field; required - or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years purchasing/supply chain experience or related field; required - 5 years experience; preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; required
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills; required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Adobe Acrobat; required. Certification in Microsoft; preferred.
- Strong understanding of set/subset concepts; required
- Excellent interpersonal skills; required
