Norton Sound Health Corporation is recruiting for a Facilities Manager

with construction, engineering, and arctic work experience to supervise construction projects and manage the operation, maintenance, and construction of NSHC buildings! Work in our state-of-the-art facility in the uniquely rustic village setting of Nome, Alaska, and clinics along the Bering Strait Region. Our facility was named among the 20 most beautiful hospitals in the nation!

Oversee and maintain effective corporate-wide facilities, plant operations, and maintenance support system with primary responsibilities for CHS, HAT, NSHC Hostel, 7-plex, Kuzqi House, West Campus, and other support buildings, groundskeepers and all fleet maintenance vehicles.  Administer and monitor troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.  Maintain oversight of assigned departments.  Direct assigned employees, demonstrating leadership by providing work direction, motivation, training, assistance, performance evaluation, and corrective action.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Technical Training in Engineering or related field. 5 years experience in Facilities Management /plant operations involving HVAC, boiler, oxygenator, generator operations, fire alarm systems, enunciator panels, and computer-based management and automated controls systems, as well as remodeling, renovation, and new construction. Plus 2 years supervisory or management experience. Valid AK Driver's License; Asbestos Certificate, Boiler Operator Class III, EPA 608 Certificate. Refrigerants and HAZWOPER Certificate or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of hire.
