A growing law firm, Nationally ranked in several areas, based in Anchorage, Alaska, is looking to hire a senior attorney or of counsel. Minimum 7-10 years of experience required. Must have worked in private practice. References required. The firm is recognized for expertise and excellence in work product from bid protests to counseling on government contract regulations to U.S. Supreme Court briefing.
Ability to start as contract attorney and adjust, if candidate and firm agree, from there. Pay and benefits variable with type of accommodation desired by candidate.
Willing to pay certain moving expenses if coming from outside of Alaska. Willing to consider remote schedule with some commute to Alaska and/or DC for the right experienced counsel.
The candidate must be able to counsel, advise, and assist clients, on a variety of matters, including with litigation, bid protests, and regulatory changes that have a focus on government contracting. Federal agency regulatory experience preferred while training may be provided as needed.
The candidate must be able to work independently while doing a maintained check-in with the office team as well as supervising support staff on projects. The candidate will be expected to perform high level analysis problem solving. Support staff is well-trained and valued. The firm maintains a collegial atmosphere—which is important to the firm culture.
Pay and benefits are very competitive with the opportunity of the senior or of counsel attorney to grow into partnership, if the candidate so desires. Pay range from $135,000-$175,000 DOE (excluding bonuses and earned leave depending on billables). Benefits and leave are extremely competitive and the billable hour requirement is 1800.
The firm currently accommodates prior approved flexible and reasonably diverse schedules with the understanding a higher level of effort may be required at certain times.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year. Alaska has no personal income tax. Medical, dental, vision, life and disability, and partially funded simple IRA.
